Single Stage for Vilppulan
Continued
growth has brought major expansion to
Vilppulan, Finland’s 3rd
largest broiler hatchery. The latest
installation of LINCO setters and hatchers
has increased their capacity by 13 million
eggs per year. The existing hatchery already
uses LINCO Set & Hatch multi stage
setters, but as this expansion took in a
completely new building and the volume
demanded it, Vilppulan decided for MK II
single stage setters. Having had the
opportunity to observe short term results,
Anita Mäkelä, Vilppulan owner said that
they had observed that there was a very
uniform chick quality with the single stage
chicks and she was extremely satisfied with
the overall performance.
Vilppulan
also purchased a Chick Counting system from
LINCO Set & Hatch. Again Anita Mäkelä
said that she is very happy with the Chick
Counter which made the daily work much more
pleasant and so much faster.
